DTYWhat a hopper loader pulls
A hopper loader lifts granules and regrind from a bin or silo up to the throat of a moulding or extrusion machine in short, repeated vacuum pulls. Each cycle picks up material, conveys it up the line and drops it into the loader when the vacuum releases, so the source has to build a firm vacuum quickly and swallow the conveying air with the material entrained. That is a moderate-vacuum, decent-flow duty ideally suited to a regenerative ring blower: oil-free, one moving part, and happy with the on/off cycling loaders impose. Longer lines and taller lifts need more vacuum, which is where a two-stage ring blower earns its place, and a central system feeding many loaders steps up to a dry vacuum pump.

Set the vacuum by line length and vertical lift, and the flow by conveying rate; keep conveying velocity high enough to keep pellets entrained to the receiver. A filter and relief valve protect the impeller from fines.

- A regenerative ring blower is the standard — it gives the moderate vacuum and steady flow a machine-side loader needs, runs oil-free and shrugs off the on/off pulses of the loading cycle. A YEBL-1-530 or -700 covers most single-loader duties; go two-stage for long or high lifts.
- One central blower or a blower per loader?
- For a few loaders a dedicated ring blower each is simple and reliable. For many loaders across a plant a central vacuum system on a larger blower or a dry vacuum pump, with sequencing valves at each receiver, is more efficient. We size either against your line lengths and total conveying rate.
