Air & Vacuum for the Plastics & Moulding Sector

Moulded-plastic products — furniture, houseware, crates — come off injection and blow-moulding cells where cooling air holds cycle time and vacuum forms and holds parts.

CTXWhat this sector runs

Injection and blow moulding at volume live and die on cooling: the faster and more evenly a mould and part shed heat, the shorter the cycle, so cooling air is a direct lever on output. Material drying and conveying feed the presses with granule on low-pressure air, another everyday duty on the moulding floor.

Vacuum shows up in thermoforming and vacuum forming, in holding parts on fixtures, and in de-moulding assistance. Reading a moulding plant as cooling and conveying air plus forming-and-hold-down vacuum is the recommended structure.

ENGEngineering notes

Cooling is output

Injection and blow moulding at volume are paced by cooling: the faster and more evenly a mould and part shed heat, the shorter the cycle. Cooling air is therefore a direct lever on output, and a drifting blower means drifting cycles. A dynamically balanced CX machine holds cooling airflow constant across a shift, so a moulding floor's output stays predictable rather than sagging as an unbalanced rotor's output creeps down toward the end of the day.

Form and release in one machine

Thermoforming pulls heated sheet into the mould on vacuum and then releases the formed part with a shot of blow-off, so the duty is vacuum and pressure together. A single oil-free YBVP machine covers both, sized to the forming area and the release-air demand. Handling that on one machine rather than two keeps the cell simpler and keeps oil away from moulded product — the reason the vacuum-and-pressure class is recommended for thermoforming.

Cooling energy adds up

On a volume moulding floor the cooling blowers run continuously, so their efficiency is a running cost that compounds across every cycle and shift. A blower sized to its best point moves the required cooling air for less power than an oversized machine throttled to suit, and a balanced rotor holds that efficiency as it wears. Standardising cooling and forming-vacuum machines onto common families also simplifies spares across many cells. Sizing each duty with margin, choosing efficient machines and keeping spares common is what keeps a moulding plant's utility cost predictable while its output stays high.

WHYWhy Yash Blowers

Moulding output is a cooling problem as much as a press problem, so steady cooling air pays back directly. Yash Blowers casts and balances its own impellers in Faridabad, since 1998, under ISO 9001:2015, and dispatches 300+ machines a day — keeping cooling blowers and forming vacuum on a fast Indian chain.

FAQFrequently asked questions

How does cooling air shorten moulding cycles?

By removing heat from the mould and part faster and more evenly, so the part sets sooner without warping. A steady CX-series blower supplies that cooling air, which is why it is the recommended cooling class.

What vacuum suits thermoforming?

Forming vacuum to pull heated sheet into the mould, with blow-off to release the formed part. The YBVP vacuum-and-pressure class provides both from one oil-free machine.
