01AMC & Maintenance
Preventive maintenance · registered service file
Keep the air moving. Every shift.
A blower that is inspected on schedule outlives one that is fixed when it stops. Register your machines, choose how you want reminders, and an engineer sets an interval that matches your real duty.
02Why a contract beats a callout
A side channel blower has one moving assembly and no lubrication in the air path, which is exactly why it tolerates neglect for a long time — and then fails suddenly. The failure is rarely the machine. It is a loaded filter that starved the inlet, a discharge that was throttled until the unit dead-headed, a relief valve nobody verified, or bearings that ran past their hours. Every one of those is cheap to catch and expensive to repair.
An annual maintenance contract puts that checking on a calendar instead of on someone's memory. We hold your model codes, serials, commissioning dates and running hours on file, so the right spares travel with the engineer and the duty point gets verified against the figure the machine was sold on — not against a guess.
What an AMC typically covers
- Scheduled inspection visits sized to your running hours
- Inlet filter inspection and element replacement
- Oil change for oil-sealed rotary vane pumps; carbon vane inspection for dry pumps
- Impeller and side-channel inspection, clearance and deposit check
- Bearing greasing or replacement per the manual and the hours run
- Pressure relief valve setpoint verification
- Motor electrical checks — current draw, phase balance, terminal tightness
- Performance verification against the original duty point, with the readings left with you
- Priority on spares because your models are already on file
Scope, visit frequency and price are confirmed on quotation. They depend on the model and quantity, the site, the ambient conditions and how hard the machines run — so we would rather size the contract properly than publish a number that does not fit your plant.
03Maintenance interval reference
Typical practice — confirm against your duty and ambient conditions
| Interval | Item | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Daily | Listen and look | Unusual noise, vibration or smell; discharge temperature by hand-feel; filter bowl clear. |
| Weekly | Inlet filter | Inspect the element. Replace on visible loading or when differential pressure climbs above the commissioning reading. |
| Monthly | Duty check | Compare working pressure or vacuum against the commissioning figure. Drift means a blockage, a leak or wear. |
| Monthly | Mounting & guards | Check fasteners, anti-vibration mounts, coupling guard and flexible connectors. |
| Quarterly | PRV verification | Confirm the relief valve still lifts at its setpoint — the single cheapest way to protect the machine. |
| Quarterly | Motor & electricals | Terminal tightness, insulation cleanliness, current draw against nameplate, phase balance. |
| Per manual | Oil change (oil-sealed rotary vane) | Change on the interval in your manual, or sooner if the oil darkens, emulsifies or the level drops. |
| Per manual | Carbon vane inspection (dry pumps) | Measure vane height against the minimum in the manual and replace as a set. |
| Annual | Bearings | Re-grease or replace per the manual and the running hours. Trend vibration if you have the instrumentation. |
| Annual | Impeller & side channel | Inspect for deposit build-up, erosion and clearance. Clean or replace the impeller if clearances have opened. |
Typical practice, not a substitute for your machine's manual. Dust, humidity, ambient temperature and duty cycle all shorten these intervals. Isolate and lock off power before any inspection.
Need the consumables rather than the contract? The spare parts finder sizes the filter, relief valve and impeller band for your model, and the troubleshooting wizard walks a symptom back to its cause.
