Vacuum Pump (YELV)
Steady transport and register vacuum through the press and converting.
CLPaper, Print & Packaging
Sector solution / Folding cartons & print
Folding-carton and offset printing runs on vacuum — sheet feeding, sheet delivery, and hold-down through printing, coating and die-cutting all depend on it.
CTXWhat this sector runs
A sheet-fed press starts with vacuum: the feeder lifts and separates sheets with vacuum and blow-off, then vacuum belts carry them through the units, and delivery slows them with suction. Any drop in that vacuum and the press mis-feeds or double-sheets, so it is a duty judged on steadiness and reliability.
Converting adds vacuum on die-cutters, folder-gluers and window-patchers to hold and register board. Reading a print plant as feeder-and-transport vacuum plus converting hold-down, supported by drying and cooling air, is the recommended structure.

ENGEngineering notes
A sheet feeder does two things at once: vacuum lifts and separates the top sheet while a blast of air fans the stack beneath it so sheets do not double. A combined vacuum-and-pressure machine supplies both from one unit, sized to the sheet size and feed rate. The recommended YBVVP class covers lift and blow together, which is exactly what a feeder needs — miss either and the press mis-feeds or double-sheets, and a mis-feeding press is an idle one.
Once fed, sheets ride vacuum belts through the units and slow on suction at delivery, and die-cutters and folder-gluers hold board on vacuum to keep register. A drop anywhere in that chain means waste and downtime. A YELV vacuum pump sized to the transport and register demand holds steady vacuum through the press and converting, so the line runs clean at rated speed rather than shedding sheets to misfeed and misregister.
On a sheet-fed press the whole economic case for good vacuum is simple: a mis-feed or a double-sheet is a stoppage and a sheet of waste. Feeder and transport vacuum therefore has to be steady and quickly serviced, sized to the sheet size and feed rate with margin, and backed by a spare. A domestic maker able to rebuild a feeder pump in days keeps a jam from becoming a shift. Getting the combined lift-and-blow feeder duty right, and holding steady transport vacuum through the units, is what lets a folding-carton line run clean at rated speed rather than nursing misfeeds.
REQTypical duty requirements
Vacuum & air on a folding-carton / print line
| Station | Duty | Recommended class |
|---|---|---|
| Sheet feeder | Vacuum lift + blow-off | Vacuum & pressure pump |
| Sheet transport belts | Hold-down vacuum | Vacuum pump |
| Die-cutting / folder-gluer | Register vacuum | Vacuum pump |
| Ink / coating drying | Process air | Centrifugal blower |

WHYWhy Yash Blowers
A mis-feeding press is an idle press, so feeder and transport vacuum has to be steady and quickly serviced. Yash Blowers has built press-duty vacuum in Faridabad since 1998 under ISO 9001:2015, casts its own impellers, and dispatches 300+ machines a day — keeping feeder pumps and converting vacuum on a domestic chain.
FAQFrequently asked questions
Vacuum lifts and separates the top sheet while a blast of air fans the stack beneath it. A combined vacuum-and-pressure machine like the YBVVP supplies both from one unit, which is why it is recommended for feeders.
The press mis-feeds, double-sheets or loses register, which means waste and downtime. A correctly sized YELV vacuum pump holds steady transport vacuum so the press runs clean.
