Web control at speed
Converting runs paper fast, and control at speed is a vacuum job — feed tables, belts and drums all hold the web flat and registered on suction. A steady vacuum source lets the machine run at its rated speed without jams; a weak one caps the line. A YELV vacuum pump sized to the transport demand keeps the web controlled through folding and register, which is what lets a converting line hit its designed output rather than nursing it below rate.
