A screen-printing table pulls the substrate flat against a perforated bed so registration holds and the squeegee lays an even film. Like a router bed it is a leaky plane — air bleeds through every open hole not covered by the stock — so the source has to move real volume to hold a modest depression under the sheet. That is high-flow, moderate-vacuum territory, ideal for a regenerative side-channel blower running oil-free so it never marks the print. For fine, non-porous film on a gasketed frame a dry vacuum pump holds a firmer grip on far less flow. Stable vacuum is what keeps thin stock from lifting as the screen peels away.

- What vacuum source does a screen printing vacuum table use?
- A regenerative side-channel blower is the usual choice: the perforated bed leaks air through every uncovered hole, so you need high flow at a moderate vacuum to hold the stock flat. Mask the unused bed and add a relief valve, and a YEBL-1-530 or -700 holds most tables steady.
- Why not a deep vacuum pump for a print table?
- A print bed is a leak, not a sealed chamber, so a deep-vacuum pump would starve on flow and never hold the depression across an open bed. High-flow regenerative blowers are the right tool; reserve a dry deep-vacuum pump for small gasketed frames printing non-porous film.
