DTYAerating and mixing a tank
An aeration tank needs two things from its blower: oxygen for the process and enough air movement to keep solids in suspension so the whole tank stays active. Both come from pushing air through a diffuser grid, and the pressure the blower must make is set squarely by the depth of water above those diffusers — about 100 mbar per metre plus the grid's resistance — while the airflow follows the oxygen and mixing demand. It is a steady, continuous positive-pressure duty, and an oil-free ring blower is the clean, low-maintenance answer. Shallow tanks suit a single-stage blower; deeper tanks and long diffuser headers move to a two-stage machine for the extra head.
Yash ring blowers aerate and mix tanks across water, effluent and process duty — oil-free air sized to the tank depth and diffuser layout, built for the continuous running aeration always needs. Single-stage and double-stage options, ISO 9001:2015, made in Faridabad with relief valves and filters, quoted in 24 hours.
SZESizing note
Set pressure from diffuser depth (about 100 mbar per metre plus grid loss) and airflow from oxygen plus mixing demand; a fine-bubble grid maximises oxygen transfer, a coarse-bubble grid favours mixing.

FAQRing Blower for Aeration Tank — FAQs
- How do I size a blower for an aeration tank?
- Pressure follows the water depth over the diffusers — around 100 mbar per metre plus the grid's resistance — and airflow follows the oxygen and mixing the tank needs. A single-stage ring blower suits shallow-to-mid tanks; deeper tanks or long diffuser headers move to a two-stage YEBL-DS blower for the head.
- Fine-bubble or coarse-bubble diffusers?
- Fine-bubble diffusers transfer oxygen more efficiently and suit process aeration; coarse-bubble grids move more water and favour mixing or scour duties like MBBR. The choice changes the back-pressure and the airflow you size for, so tell us the grid type and depth and we match the blower to it.
