Cooling sets tape strength
In tape extrusion the cast film's cooling sets tape gauge and, through orientation, its strength — uneven cooling means uneven gauge and inconsistent strength across the width. Uniform, steady centrifugal air over the casting section holds temperature even at line speed. A balanced CX machine supplies that uniform cooling; specifying the airflow across the web and choosing an in-house-balanced blower is what keeps tape properties consistent across the whole width.
