Steady air, faster line
On a cable line the cooling section is where speed is won or lost — the faster and steadier the extrudate cools, the sooner it sets and the quicker the line can run in tolerance. Unsteady air forces the line to slow to protect dimensions. A dynamically balanced CX machine holds cooling airflow constant, so the line runs at rated speed without the wall and diameter drifting, which is the practical reason balanced centrifugals are recommended for cable cooling.
